Independence Day Celebrations
Today’s Kalam Foundation had celebrated
Independence Day in 15 Kalam Centers.
MOST OF THE CENTERS RUNS IN VOLUNTEER
HOUSES AND THEY HAVE CELEBRATED AT THEIR
CONVENIENT LOCATIONS. THE PROGRAM WAS
ABOUT 2 HOURS. IN EVERY CENTER THEY HAVE
INVITED LOCAL PEOPLE AS GUEST.
Ration Kit Distribution
There has been situation where parents send
their children to factories or work in restaurant,
picking scrape rather than schools.The family is too
poor and hope their children will act as backbone of
economy.
Today’s Kalam Foundation has taken initiative of
distributing ration Kit to these families. The kit
consists of 10Kg rice, 5Kg toor daal and 5Kg of atta.
The program has aimed encouraging parents to send
their kids to school.
Computer Distribution
In the era of digitalization and evolution in
information technology, it has become essential to
use internet for access of resources and information
available online.
Despite the efforts made by govt, there is lack of
computers in government schools. That’s why
Today’s Kalam Foundation has taken initiative to
distribute computers in government schools with
sponsorship of Real Page Company. So far we are
successful in distributing 194 computers in 49
government schools.
Medical Camps and Awareness Programs
Today’s Kalam has taken an initiative to
help the children to maintain their health.
TKF has conducted medical camp with the help of few doctors. Today’s Kalam
con ducted seminars on basic health
pre cautions in daily routine with help of
few doctors in Government schools, hostels
and madarsas.
CHIGURU ( Partnered with YFS )
Chiguru, the annual cultural event organised by Youth For Seva, brings together thousands of children from across government schools at Hyderabad and Banglore. Volunteers train children in various areas from 2 months before the event, while or corporate partners and other institutions (venue and travel partners) do not give a second thought to support in terms of resources.
In Hyderabad Chiguru was conducted on 16th of December. 400 children and 100 volunteers had participated from Today’s Kalam Foundation in Chiguru.
Today’s Kalam Magazine
‘Toda y’s Kalam’ is a monthly magazine initiated by a group of Intellectuals. We have the first magaz ine released in the month of July 2017 Several issues were being discus sed like Women Empo werment, Education, Community Development and recent trends in NGO sector. This magazine Today ’s Kalam will act as an Information provider, Facilitator, Whist le Blower and repository of Knowledge and Wisdom.

Government school teachers Meeting
TKF HAVE ORGANIZED A GOVERNMENT URDU MEDIUM SCHOOL TEACHERS MEETING. 32 TEACHERS ATTENDED THE MEETING FROM BAHADURPURA URDU MEDIUM SCHOOLS.
RAGHAV KRISHNA- ELECTRONIC ARTS , OSMAN AKHTAR- REAL PAGE AND SURYAKALA – FRANKLIN TEMPLETON ADDRESSED IN THE MEETING. THIS IS TO UNDERSTAND NEEDS OF SCHOOLS AND ENGAGE VOLUNTEERS ACCORDINGLY.
Kalam Tailoring Center
If you look around, there are large numbers of women living in poverty driven society. Be it rural or urban-especially slum areas. The women are engaged in doing household chores and looking after their kids. Their family are financially broke. But if these women will be given certain skill training. They would stand on their feet and would be able to reduce the financial burden. With an aim of providing vocational training to women, Today’s Kalam Foundation has started giving training of stitching and tailoring. There are presently 20 women enrolled at our center. They are learning skill and helping their family to earn bread.
Seminars on Personality Development
TKF has conducted seminars on Personality Develop ment in Government schools, hostels and madarsa s. Personality development Seminars gave splendid response from the students. Most of the students came up with several questions and que ries regarding body language and communication skills . These seminars helped many st udents to develop their skills and personality.
